The Rolleiflex 6006 is an amazing camera. Until I began surveying my old negatives for a planned photo book, I had forgotten quite how good was the experience of using it, and how spectacular the results. I took the photograph above on a trip to Tofino with my good friend Kirk, in May of 2010.

I have finally made the transition to Lightroom and Negative Lab Pro. What a difference it has made to the quality of my film scans. Why was I contented for so long by sub-par results? It makes me wonder about other areas of my life in which I am operating sub-optimally.
