I am beginning to use Instagram again. The plan is to post one image a day over the course of 2020. The one above is of my niece, shot in Gaborone, Botswana, in the summer of 2019. I seem to have fallen in love with diptychs again.
Here’s another pair, shot on or around New Year’s Day in my neighbourhood in Vancouver. I just love the way Portra 400 renders colours. They seem natural and true to how I saw the scenes through the viewfinder.
My daughter has a particular way of looking at me through her left eye that I find simultaneously enigmatic and endearing.
If you’d like to see more diptychs (as well as a few shots of African wildlife), why not follow me on Instagram @photonfantastic.
